NC Residential Energy Code Essentials Training (2-Hour)

Location: City of Fayetteville Permitting & Inspections Dept.
Cape Fear Conference Room in City Hall Bldg., at 433 Hay St.

Continuing Education: NCDOI 2 hrs Building OR 1 hr Mechanical

Description:
This session will educate participants on the key provisions of the NC Energy Code. It will focus on problems identified during our recent field study of 250 new homes. Topics will include a quick overview, details on slab insulation, insulation coverage & installation practices, knee walls, lighting, duct sealing, and garage connections. Photos from our recent field study will be shown showing practical applications as well as what doesn't meet the code.

This training includes an interactive plan review exercise where participants will team up and implement the energy code provisions just reviewed by evaluating a set of residential home plans.
